Kill La Kill?
Not sure about that one personally, I watched a fair bit of it but stopped as I didn't really think the plot was up to much but that might just be me.

Welcome to the NHK - Comedy, Drama, Psychological, Romance. Do you believe in conspiracies? Satou does, he's a Neat (Not engaged in Employment, Education or Training) and rarely leaves his flat. On the rare occasion he does leave his flat he thinks people are staring at him and talking about him behind his back. He then has an unexpected encounter with Misaki Nakahara and she offers to help him get out of his rut, is she really going out of her way to help the person she just met or is this just part of another conspiracy.
BTOOOM! - Action, Psychological, Sci-Fi, Seinen. Some people get dropped on to a island and fight for their survival, this is pretty much a anime version of Battle Royale. If you don't know what Battle Royale is go watch it, I would imagine that film was a big part of the inspiration behind hunger games but don't bother with the sequel it wasn't good.
Metropolis - Adventure, Drama, Police, Romance, Sci-Fi, Shounen. This is a movies that came out in 2001.
In the great city of Metropolis, severe community structures and prejudice dominate a world where humans and robots live together. Unrest and violence increase with each new day. In the scientist's laboratory, Kenichi discovers a girl without any memory of her past life. He decides to help her, so they run away together. His uncle follows him and penetrates the dark secrets of the city to find Duke Red, the man ruling from the shadows.
Samurai Champloo - Action, Adventure, Comedy, Historical, Samurai, Shounen. For their crime, the two samurai are captured and set to be executed. However, they are rescued by Fuu, who hires the duo as her bodyguards. Though she no longer has a place to return to, the former waitress wishes to find a certain samurai who smells of sunflowers and enlists the help of the now exonerated pair to do so.
Not quite an anime as it is made by Rooster Teeth, it is actually a web series. However, it streams on crunchy roll, and that is an anime-only sight, so I don't know.
Regardless, if you are looking for something different, this is the show for you. You can knock out the first two seasons in less than three hours, and while some of the voice acting and animations in the first season are cringe-worthy, the story attains a depth and darkness that is shocking by the end of season three. Most of all, there is actually no singular protagonist, so that's a plus. Lastly, the fight scenes are done extremely well, with it's animation better than more other anime in my opinion due to the artistic flow of it.
Once again, I can't promise you will like it, but if you are looking for something different RWBY is for you.
Here are the four trailers, if you are interested:
