03MAY16 EDITION

Comrades, Imperators, Friends.

We are nearly two months away from the First Anniversary of the Great July Producerist Revolution. During this glorious chapter in our history, the membership of Supernova X overthrew the corrupt prior regime, outlawed the exploitation of our tech producers, and established the Military-First Policy. Equally crucial to our survival as an alliance, we expelled numerous foreign invaders. These invaders sought to enslave our new nations, and force our larger members from this world. Our will and determination expressed by the Never Capitulate! vote carried into the field of battle, where our remaining soldiers fought a heroic last stand against twenty-to-one odds.

This spirit has continued to manifest itself in many wars since that time. During the November Third Operation, we rescued a large cross-section of our members who were lead down the wrong path. In two following wars, we crushed the LPCN terrorist forces. Finally, during the Polar War, we stood our ground against the experienced and well-organized New Polar Order in the first real test of our overall combat capabilities. Our capacity to damage enemy tech production and tech stockpiles is our primary defense against the hostile forces in the world.

We have enjoyed this month of hard-won peace. Unfortunately, Sephiroth's terrorist network and its shadowy supporters are already scheming against the Imperium once more. We have been bombarded with hostile propaganda, and The Rebel has been busted spying on my nation. The wolves are circling, but I am proud to say that our members do not fear such cowards, and are willing to defend our rights to sovereignty, self-determination and existence down to the last man.

The danger in alliances like Supernova X is not our technology or even our actual military power. It is our fanatical devotion to our cause. We see this happen time and time again - nations fighting out of "boredom" will never fight as hard as Imperators fighting for their ideology.

Our ideology... Producerism... is the only ideology in our world today that recognizes the rights of tech producers to be educated and protected against predatory exploitation by the larger powers. It funnels new tech... our key military asset... into friendly hands.

And it makes our Imperium stronger and more united than ever.

The Military-First Policy is our Revolution's Treasured Sword.

The first war of Supernova X was abject humiliation for our membership. During the Doom War, the weak-willed government lead one of the most poorly-managed defensive campaigns in global history, and the situation did not improve in the months leading to the July Revolution last year. The onset of the Revolution began as a massive assault by rogues on the "Red Safari" AA, which would quickly be augmented by the regular forces of numerous alliances like Nordreich and Non Grata. The great struggle for our survival was an impossible war of 20 to 1 odds.

Yet this crucible made the conditions of Producerism today. The Alliance Producers, many of them in the lower-tier, followed the example of Grand Marshal Immortan Junka, who fired the first nuke against invading forces. By the end of the Revolution, hundreds of nukes were fired, nullifying raiding gains by the invading armies.

However, while damaging, the July Revolution was fought by a band of desperate Revolutionaries, and damage output was not yet optimized. The new Military-First policy was one of the first changes to be implemented by Strategic Command (now merged into the Unified Command). The Military-First policy is designed to make any offensive action against the Imperium hurt attackers, so that any loss for the Imperium would be a Pyrrhic Victory for invaders, regardless of numbers. To work, it requires iron-fisted discipline, ideological dedication, and absolute loyalty to the Imperium.

In time, after many hardships and mistakes, the Military-First policy would become second-nature to Imperators. The full potential of the policy was demonstrated in the Polar War, when massive amount of tech were destroyed by both EMP nukes in the upper tier, and strategic targeting of tech banks in the lower-tier. While the policy could not win a war against superior numbers, it would help lead to the war's quick conclusion -- there is no value for any large alliance to wage a month's long campaign against a military force well-accustomed to guerrilla warfare.

Our Military-First policy works hand in hand with our Interstellar Program. We can quickly decimate an adversary's tech stockpiles and production, and quickly build up our own stockpiles post-war.

Only three alliances hold multiple records in game: New Pacific Order, New Polar Order, and Supernova X.

The history of our Glorious Imperium parallels the development of the Three Orders of Ivan Moldavi. In 2003, the Nation of Pacifica fought a revolution against the exploitative class known as Userites in NationStates. Francos Spain lead this revolution, alongside his legendary lieutenants such as Vladimir and Ivan Moldavi. These lieutenants, chief among them Ivan Moldavi, would later lead the colonization of Cybernations with this post-revolutionary force under the Francoist ideology (an ancient predecessor of today's Producerism).

Over the years, I would serve in all three of Ivan's Orders, and under Ivan himself as head of internal security. I was able to take this experience and raise up a new generation of revolutionaries in Supernova X during a time when all hope was lost. But the July Revolution of 2016 echoed the August Revolution of 2003, and the shattered remnants of our alliance pulled together to defend our sovereignty and establish the New Imperium by the blood and sweat of the producer.

The names of the Great Thirteen are carved forever in history:

Together we lead the resistance against the combined forces of seven alliances; following the struggle, the July Referendum established by popular vote the Producerist State. It was a dark time, Nordreich and Non Grata had sworn our "extermination," but this crucible of war is what finally forged us into the tough and disciplined alliance we are today.

It has been said that without a revolutionary theory and a revolutionary situation, a revolution cannot happen. It was fortunate for us that our enemies gave us both. the Producerist Revolution established the Military-First policy, which would build our invincible armies and grant us victory after victory on the battlefield. We banned the exploitation of our tech producers, and we established the prosperity of our centralized Interstellar Program. These successes have built us a resilient and active lower-tier, while in time our upper tier would develop a respectable punch with EMP wonder proliferation.

Thus we have the ability to annihilate the tech of an invader in both upper and lower-tier. Tech is the single most important military asset, and we have lots of it. We have proven ourselves in the November Third Operation, Operation Dog Pound, the War on Terror and the Polar War. Each military operation, whether win or loss, offensive or defensive, has given us the opportunity to refine our military doctrine; this ensures we remain on a strong stance against aggressor.

We have a strong future ahead of us and a past to be proud of; our challenge is in the present: that we maintain our activity, our discipline, our esprit de corps. That we adhere to Producerism so we may be free from slavery and exploitation in the future. And that we always conduct ourselves according to the highest standards of behavior.

We are a light to uncivilized nations, we are each of us ambassadors of the Imperium. It is up to us to lead the way in a world filled with barbarism and chaos.

To act against the Imperium is to be wrong by definition.

Our Foreign Affairs mission is to first ensure friendship and cooperation within the Imperium's Area of Influence, and second, to counter activities that are against our interests. It is notable that the majority of the wars of Supernova X are defensive; this is unusual for most frequently-warring alliances and what has built our alliance into a credible military force. The Imperium has brought Order to the Brown Team and stability for our allies, who might otherwise be under attack in the lower-tier.

To be allied to the Imperium is to know that a morally strong and disciplined alliance will be there not just militarily, but also providing non-combatant support: tech production, aid drops and diplomatic assistance. Because of our stable and peaceful nature, we are seen as good influences and role models to newer alliances. Our first priority is security, not only for our own alliance but also for our treaty partners.

The foreign policy of many alliances floats hither and thither with the winds of war; Imperators, as commissioned officers, answer to a higher calling. We do not act unless we have good reason to do so. Our policy of foreign affairs transparency means we always state a clear and valid Casus Belli in any aggressive military operation, and our members are well-informed of the conspiracies of hostile entities and terrorists.

Because of our clear and transparent foreign affairs strategy, our members and allies know they are always in the right.

The Defensive Might of the Imperium is unquestioned!

In five days the Tier V nations of the Imperium have destroyed 3472 barbarian upper-tier tech, a staggering number that has shaken the resolve of those who seek to destroy us. To put this in perspective, this is equivalent to $20,832,000,000 in $6,000,000/100 deals. Due to the Producerist Revolution and Interstellar Tech Program, our damage will be repaired internally, while the Plutocratic alliances will be forced to seek more tech elsewhere. The first round of war has demonstrated the EMP capabilities of our upper-tier while utilizing Scorched Earth.

Meanwhile in the lower-tier, despite the mercenary presence of the terrorist Monsters Inc, our lower-tiers are smashing the enemy in brutal low-NS nuclear warfare. Here are the top damage dealers by Nation Strength Destroyed so thus far:

OVERALL TOP FIVE DAMAGE DEALERS

  • Joel James (17,867)
  • Pantheras (14,993)
  • Wippeli (11,537)
  • Bewill (10,441)
  • Doctor (9,301)

Our lower-tier performance is solid as well, owing to high activity and the Imperium's rapid nuclear proliferation:

TOP FIVE LOW NATION-STRENGTH DAMAGE DEALERS

  • Galerion (7,707)
  • Immortan Junka (7,609)
  • Humann (6,885)
  • Anadaric (5,019)
  • Greatest Mothers (3,518)

Much as with the Doom War, when New Polar Order's Tier IV and V nations retreated to the 60,000 NS range, our upper tier is also compressing, and with Scorched Earth tactics universalized, present a difficult target for invaders to continue targeting. It may be that the worst fear of the aggressors is that our powerful upper-tier fighters mops the floor with their middle-tiers. For this reason, New Polar Order was able to seek white peace despite many enemies desiring harsh terms.

The lesson of the Plutocratic War is clear: Military preparation before wars, win wars! The key during peacetime is disciplined growth, as outlined in the Producerist Manifesto: an emphasis on warchests, tech stockpiles, tech production and military wonders. Our power has multiplied exponentially since the July Revolution, and we are no longer helpless and poorly armed.

Through our arms, training, and discipline, we have established this last Bastion in a barbarian world... perhaps the last beacon of moral order and civilization still unconquered by the hordes.

Comrades, Imperators, Friends.

Our alliance is distinguished because of our unique purpose in this world.

Many alliances are indistinguishable from one another because they are groups of people united only by friendships and similar interests. Most of the time, what little ideological purpose they have is defined by either "friends > infra" or "infra > friends" foreign affairs patterns. This means that major policy decisions are typically driven by oligarchs who rely on networks of politically active officials in other alliances. It is, essentially, a globalist plutocracy that is the political driving force for most alliances.

As a result, the needs of the mass membership in many alliances play a secondary role to the interest of oligarchs. This is, according to Producerism, a defining characteristic of pre-Revolutionary alliances abroad. Social value in such alliances relies not on production, but rather, being cool in the eyes of foreign alliance leaders. The leadership is effectively severed socially from the membership.

From the perspective of exploitation, this takes an even more urgent form, as alliance leaders abroad are typically larger, older nations that exploit new nations kept deliberately ignorant of their value as tech producers. Thus high-tier alliance leaders collude across major alliances to suppress the growth and compensation of new nations.

The negative effects of such policy is apparent when reviewing the statistics and nations of the majority of alliance affiliations. Low aid slot activity, large proportions of 1 week + inactive nations, and poor nation-building is visibly apparent. Weak lower-tiers and bloated upper-tiers exist on a massive scale.

What sets our Imperium apart is that, as a post-Revolutionary alliance, the leadership and membership are an organic whole... the leadership being the brains, the bureaucracy the nervous system, and the membership the limbs of the alliance. It is a lean and efficient system, with all parts of the alliance receiving the nourishment needed to grow in strength and ability.

As a result, the Imperium has consistently defeated the attacks of plutocratic alliances and their lower-tier mercenaries. We have not been afraid to compress our nation-strength into the lower and middle levels, placing us out of the reach of an adversary's strongest nations and concentrating our strength against their weakest tiers.

By controlling our growth and directing it towards military-first development, we provide an increased deterrent to trivial attacks, meaning that our enemies need to form massive coalitions to attack us. This expenditure of effort is usually not worth it against a determined military force such as our own, especially since we are not aggressive in nature.

As a matter of willpower, enemy nations do not have the drive to destroy us for no reason, while we fight for our right to exist as a free and independent alliance.

We exist and fight to defend the unique vestiges of a civilization never developed by most of the internet. The advanced social and cultural development growing out of 2003 NationStates Revolution is forgotten by most alliances, but remembered here. The Casus Belli, alliance sovereignty, and clearly defined treaties are upheld as sacred traditions here, as they once were among the majority of Cybernations alliances.

The defense of the remnants of a once great civilization spanning tens of thousands of nations is something we can be proud of. Philosophy, history and culture are embraced and not dismissed as meaningless here.

As a result, we have held back the barbarism, degeneration and chaos that has beset most of Cybernations.
